Restoring the Historic Onesto
A fully restored gem in the heart of
downtown Canton’s historic district
When developer Steve Coon acquired the property from the Stark Community Foundation, he was gratified to discover the lavish features the hotel had been known for were still in place and ready for restoration.
Even though the hotel was vacant for 35 years, the rooms still had many features intact including porcelain fixtures and ornate woodwork. Coon Restoration used historic photos to restore many of the hotel’s features to their former glory, including its Grand Ballroom and Lobby.
